FAQ’s (And please, if you need any further clarification or have any other questions that aren’t here, don’t hesitate to ask!)

  1. Is it just you that films the wedding day?

It is typically just me that will be filming for the day. My wife Amanda use to help me out with that, but now she is typically very busy doing wedding makeup for her own weddings. With that said, if you are still looking for a makeup artist for your wedding day, check her out at HERE. We love working the same wedding days together when we can! But all of the wedding highlight videos seen on my blog or main video page I’ve shot by myself, so you are definitely still in good hands, but if you would like to add on a second videographer, don’t hesitate to ask about rates!

  2. If I decide to get a highlight video, do I get the additional footage along with that?

Yes! Along with every highlight video I do, I give couples the full ceremony, toasts, first dances, reception extras and any other good extra content from the day! That will all come on a personalized flash drive when everything gets wrapped up!

  3. Can I just get a highlight video of just ceremony and reception coverage?

I have done highlight videos of just ceremony and reception coverage and they just aren’t as good in my opinion. There is so much good content and so many good details before the ceremony begins, that only having ceremony and reception coverage just doesn’t do the whole day justice as well as it could! And typically just ceremony and reception highlight videos are much shorter in length as well because of not having as much content to work with from the day! So I always recommend at least from the time you get in to your dress until the main events of the reception conclude!

  4. My fiancé and I aren’t planning on doing a first look, does it make sense to have you there for that part of the day?

I love weddings that have a first look because it adds so much more content to capture at the beginning part of the day, but if you decide you aren’t planning on one, that is perfectly fine too! About half the weddings I have done don’t plan to do a first look, and they all are awesome! I love capturing groom reactions when brides walk down the aisle! But just because you aren’t planning on doing a first look, doesn’t mean there isn’t other footage to capture during that time! For example, it allows time to get footage of brides getting in to their dress and spending time with their mom or siblings or friends, it allows time for a first look with dads (which are some of my favorite moments to capture on wedding days), footage of gift exchanges, footage of groom and groomsmen hanging out and prepping for the day, portraits of brides and their bridesmaids as well as groom and groomsmen portraits, other important detail shots and MUCH more! So if you aren’t planning on a first look, there will still be PLENTY of content to capture!

  5. How long does it take to get the highlight video and extra footage?

Typically I get everything done and sent out on a flash drive within 3 months of the wedding day. Sometimes it’s a shorter timeframe, sometimes it’s a little bit longer, depending on what time of the year you are getting married. But it’s usually right around that amount of time!

  6. Do you put vows/speeches in your videos?

I can definitely add in vows/speeches to your highlight video! On my main video page you’ll see a mixture of videos that have audio from the vows and toasts and ones that are just set to music! I love music and believe it has a huge power to set the mood for each video I do and just have it be that, but if you would like to add in audio too, then I can for sure do that for you!

  7. Do we get to choose our own music?

For the highlight videos I typically choose the music that goes with it. I think there’s a certain vibe with every wedding day and I like for the music to accommodate to that feeling from the day!

  8. Do you come on the party bus?

I ride on the party bus if the ceremony and reception are in the same location or if they are in two different locations, the bus/trolly/limo etc. will need to plan out to go back by where my car is so I can move my car from the ceremony to the reception since it is just me haha!

  9. For the a la carte options, does the price for each part of the day just cover the things listed?

So this answer kind of goes along with the first look answer. The a la carte pricing options has a specific thing listed for each price point, but it definitely covers more than just the item listed. For example, the “dress/first look'“ part of the day covers more than just those two things as explained above. Think of it as more as a timeframe rather than those specific things being captured. So I will be there for that part of the day, but I will capture all the moments going on at that time. Another example would be the “hair/makeup” part of the day. Yes it covers those things, but I’ve also filmed gift exchanges at that time, portraits of brides and bridesmaids in their specialized robes, champagne popping, details of the dress/other important items and so on!

  10. Do you offer same day edits and/or love stories?

I definitely do! If you’d like a Love Story or Same Day Edit, feel free to ask me about pricing or examples!
